501(c)(3) Make it TO Midnight

Suicide Prevention Support for People In Need

Make it to Midnight is a nonprofit 501(c)3 devoted to suicide prevention. Millions of Americans report considering suicide every year, but many find it difficult to access the help they need. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA), only 38% of Americans living with mental illness receive any kind of professional care.

There can be many obstacles to getting treatment, including financial barriers and the stigma of discussing depression or suicide. Make it to Midnight seeks to address both of these problems by providing counseling services and starting open, non-judgmental conversations about mental health.

Having survived his own battle with depression, Jim Denning knows that getting the support needed can be crucial. That is why he has made it his mission to provide countless others with his counseling services, writing and advocacy. Effective counseling can be a transformative experience that lets people finally move on from the pain that has held them back.

Opening up about suicidal urges is difficult for many. We help our clients feel as comfortable as they can by creating a warm, inviting environment for them to share their thoughts. We use evidence-based treatments to help clients address the causes of their pain, including any underlying trauma they may have experienced.

For clients who cannot afford the cost of therapy, Make it to Midnight provides free counseling whenever possible. These costs are covered by donations from our generous supporters.

Speaking Engagements

We are also committed to suicide prevention through education and dialogue. At our speaking engagements, Jim shares his story openly so people suffering from depression will know they’re not alone and that recovery is possible. Our mission is to end the taboo around discussing suicide and encourage people to reach out when they need help. To book Jim Denning for a virtual or in-person speaking engagement, contact us at 210-369-8368.

When we work together, we help save lives. Your contribution will allow us to continue providing free counseling and support services to people struggling with suicidal thoughts. Thank you for your donation.
